Schnepf's Farm Park

A while back, we went to Schnepf's Farm Park (yes, it's the same place where the Easter Egg hunt was). It's a small park, but fun for young kids. They have animals (horses, cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, deer, and even peacocks), a play area, a small amusement park, and a train. In the fall, they have a pumpkin patch and corn mazes (feels like home). A.J. had a good time...he especially liked feeding the deer flowers.

Empire

Andy took A.J. to the Caterpillar dealer a few weeks back to play on all the machines...A.J. is obsessed with tractors! He had a blast! He still talks about how he honked the horn in the skid-steer. Andy had to go to the prooving grounds a while back, and A.J. thinks it is so cool that Daddy gets to drive the tractors!

Happy Easter/Swim Lessons

Today is Easter...we didn't do much to celebrate. A.J. enjoyed his basket, as you can probably see from his smile. We watched the Bee Movie, while Andy started re-landscaping our backyard. Yesterday, A.J. starting swim lessons. They are not really lessons, but more to get the kids accomodated to the water. A.J. loved the pool! He was ready to jump in when we got there, and did not want to leave when it was over. Good thing we go back next week too!

Look at all the candy!!!

Easter Egg-citement!

Today, we went to Schnepf Farms for their annual "Easter Eggcitement." They had a lot of different activities for the kids, including rides, animals, an egg hunt, a cookout, and, of course, the Easter Bunny. A. J. had a lot of fun...he made a hauling in the egg hunt (I think we came home with 4 footballs...you could tell what he was hunting for).

Happy B-Day, Dr. Seuss!

A.J. really enjoys storytime at the library. He listens to the stories so intently and loves to sing and dance to the songs (he's getting really good at Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes). A couple of weeks ago, the library had a special event for Dr. Seuss' birthday. They read Green Eggs and Ham, had tons of arts and crafts, and had a special visit from the Cat in the Hat. They even got to eat birthday cake!!!

Employee Picnic

Empire, one of the CAT dealers that Andy works with, had an employee picnic a couple of weeks ago up in Scottsdale. The Caterpillar District was invited to this as well. It was very family friendly, with lots of inflatables, slides, bull riding (sorry, we didn't try that out), etc. A.J. had a great time...his favorite things were the excavator and the cotton candy!!!

Tuesday Playdate

Every Tuesday, one of the other CAT moms and I get together for a playdate (actually, this playgroup has been going on long before we moved to Phoenix, but all the other CAT people with kids have been transferred, so it's now there is only two of us that have kids...soon to be three). A.J. LOVES playgroup!!! He gets so excited when he finds out Levi is coming over or we are going to Levi's. It worked out perfect that the two boys are almost identical in age (Levi also has a sister, Lynnden, who is 2 months). They play so well together too, which is surprising for 2-year-olds! The boys seem to have a great time (and the get moms enjoy a little adult conversation as well).

New Blog

I'm still not even sure what "blog" really means, but was inspired to start my own after viewing the Snyder Survivors blog. We have been here in Chandler, Arizona for almost 4 months and are loving it. Keeping up with everyone back home is really hard, so we decided to start a blog to keep everyone up to date with news and events in our lives. Bear with me, as I am new at this, and am still trying to iron out all the bugs.
