Pool Party

School has been out for just over a month now, and A.J. asks everyday when he can see all of his friends. We decided to have a preschool pool party and invited his entire class to our house for a day of food and fun! I think all the kids had a great time, as well as the adults (nothing like an afternoon cocktail by the pool)!!!

How Can You Not Love Him?

For all the problems he causes, he's still so gosh-darn cute...how can you not love him???

Calamari!!!

Not much has been going on lately, just hanging out and enjoying the pool most days. On Friday, we went to Buca di Beppo for dinner. We had a coupon for a free appetizer, so we decided to get calamari. When it came, we gave some to A.J. to eat and then we told him it was squid. He didn't care one bit and he loved it! At the bottom of the calamari dish, there was one squid that they fried whole. A.J. thought it was the neatest thing (although he thought it was an octopus), so I had to take a pic of him (it's with the camera-phone, so it's not the best quality)

Swimming Like a Fish!

This year, we decided to put A.J. in private swim lessons, thanks to a suggestion by one of our friends. The swim instructor was amazing!!! She basically focused on survival in the water while teaching the kids to swim. By the end of the class, A.J. was swimming the entire length of the pool with his head down and using both his arms and his legs! He even likes to dive to the bottom of the pool! Watch out Michael Phelps!!!
