Preschool Party!

Yesterday was A.J.'s last day of preschool. His teacher, Mrs. Nettie, did a really cute slide show and the kids did a cute program. Afterwords, we went to Makena's house for an end-of-the-year party. The kids had a blast on the blow-up water slide! There was also a ton of food and the kids even got to prepare their own "Cold Stone" ice cream! We all had a great time!

Sea World

We concluded our trip to San Diego with a visit to Sea World. The boys loved all the animals...Isaac got so excited and would scream and point every time he saw new animals! The favorite, as always, was petting the sting rays (although Isaac did not like it when they splashed). This was the first time that A.J. fed the rays. I was also impressed that Isaac petted the starfish! I have to admit though, the Shamu show was not as impressive as in years past, since the trainers are no longer allowed in the water. Overall, we had a great time!

Although you can't see A.J.'s face, you can tell he was very surprised when the ray came up out of the water and splashed him!

Isaac loves Elmo on tv...not so much in person. He wailed and ran off when we tried to get his picture with him!!!

Legoland

On Saturday, we went to Legoland. The weather was COLD!!! I think the high for the entire weekend was 65! It didn't seem to affect the boys, however, as they had a blast!!! A.J. rode all the roller coasters once again...I swear, that boy has no fear! Isaac rode a couple of the rides, but I think he enjoyed people watching more. Grandma and Grandpa were impressed by the Lego sculptures!

San Diego

On Friday, we drove over to San Diego. A.J., as always, loved the beach...Isaac, not so much. I think the sound of the waves scared him. I tried to get a picture of the boys together on the beach, but every time we put Isaac down, he screamed bloody murder!!!

Sedona & Slide Rock

On Monday, we drove up to Sedona and went to Slide Rock. Grandma and Grandpa liked all the scenery. Slide Rock was fun too. It is a natural water slide. None of us went on it, as the weather was only about 70 and the water was freezing! We did dip our feet in, and, of course, A.J. fell in while he was goofing off. We'll have to try and go back when the weather warms up!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Andy's parents came into town, and Saturday was Grandma's birthday. We went to the local grocery store and A.J. decorated a cake for her. It had a smiley face on it, but then A.J. dumped a ton of sprinkles on top, so you can't really see any of the icing. Oh well, it's the thought that counts!!!

Busy Weekend

This past weekend kept us on our toes. On Friday, Andy and A.J. went camping with some of their friends...they had a great time, although I think A.J. might be a pyromaniac, as his favorite thing was throwing stuff in the fire! Isaac and I held down the fort at home. We had a not-so-great time. The lovely plumbing in our home decided to back up once again, so Friday we were bleaching down the bathroom! On Saturday, I went upstairs to take a quick shower, and when I came down, Isaac had spilled a bottle of laundry detergent on the couch...luckily, I use Free and Clear...I can't imagine cleaning up blue detergent. While I was using the steam vac to clean the couch, Isaac dumped the bottle of steam cleaner detergent on the carpet...concentrated steam cleaner detergent! It took me forever to vacuum up all the suds! Meanwhile, he decided to douse himself in Desitin, Andy and A.J. came home, and A.J. decided to hang on the towel bar...needless to say, that came down off the wall! Then we had a soccer game, a birthday party, and another birthday party on Sunday. So much for relaxing on the weekends!

The Last Game

Saturday was our last soccer game. All the kids played extremely well and went out with a bang. It was a fun soccer season and we can't wait to play again in the fall!

Discovery Park

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Discovery Park with some of our friends. The kids had a great time! They loved feeding the ducks and even found a turtle! I almost had a heart attack several times, as A.J. liked to get just a little too close to the water's edge...Isaac, on the other hand, steered clear of anything to do with the water or the ducks!
