Weekend Getaway

This past weekend, we decided to escape the heat of the desert and take a long weekend vacation to San Diego. Of course, we had to go to Sea World (we have summer passes there, but I could go there everyday!)!!! We watched the dolphin show and A.J.'s favorite, the sea lion show. Last time we were there, Isaac was deathly afraid of the live Elmo. This time, we just got Isaac's picture with the picture board. Then we saw the real Elmo...at least Isaac gave him a hi-5! We rode the Sky Tower this time, which is basically a revolving room that gives you great views of the park and the city. We also went to the zoo's Wild Animal Park. It reminded me a little of Wildlife Prairie Park, but it was much bigger and had more animals from Africa. We saw lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, birds, and tons of other animals. We even fed the lorikeets! I did like this park better than the zoo. Then, back to Sea World we went...got our money's worth out of them passes! We stayed late and even watched the fireworks. It was a much needed escape!!!
