Thursday, A.J. had his first running club meet of the year. Running club is basically cross-country for grade-schoolers. There were about 500-600 kids running at the meet. Since this was A.J.'s first meet, he wasn't really sure what to do. He started running the course, which was pretty long. It goes around one of the largest parks in Chandler. Isaac and I were waiting for A.J. at the finish line. We waited...and waited...and waited! He never did come through the finish line. I started looking for him and finally found him near one of the pavillions. He ran to me and hugged me and started crying. He got a little confused and a little lost and never did cross the finish line. Oh well, chalk one up for experience...we'll know better next time!
